The ministry of the usher is largely one of hospitality; indeed, hospitality is a way we make our faith in Christ visible to others. The usher is usually the first person someone (whether new or a “regular”) sees when arriving for worship. It's the Ministry of welcome and hospitality which will set the tone for the worship experience that day. The usher's presence alone may meet their need for a godly connection - perhaps it's been a difficult week for them or one full of joy. In any case, ushers are the ones who will meet and greet worshippers first in the name of the Lord and extend a hand or offer a smile that says, “It's good that you are here”.
The City Revival Church Usher Ministry forms an important part of the church. From seating people to taking the offering to dealing with emergencies, the usher crew plays a key role in the church service going on smoothly.
Ushers are like watchmen and handmaidens of the Lord under the anointing of God and can never get a second chance to make a first impression. Our mission is to provide a worship atmosphere that is free from as many distractions as possible through fulfilling the role of greeting and seating, security, and parking assistance, while still maintaining the freedom, order, reverence, and respect for the Holy Spirit (Psalm 84:10).
